Ricordea Mushroom Coral (5 mushrooms)
The Perfect Coral Beginner Pack
Mushroom corals are very aptly named as they grow outwards in disc-like shapes and have short, thick tentacle-like protrusions over their entire body. They come in a variety of colors and are closely related to stony corals, though they aren't the same thing and are more anemone-like. Because they are easy to keep, they work well for the beginning aquarist!
Our small packet here is a great start in starting your reef-building, for the beginner or advanced aquarist alike. The colors are varietal, so you never do quite know what you'll get. They grow normally in the rocky shallows in the wild but are also found in sand in solidarity, so it isn't hard to space them out within your tank to make for a stunning display.
They do prefer high light, and you'll need to ensure you have the proper bulbs and would prefer not to have direct water flow. They are also able to live off of food produced from absorbed light, as are many of our corals, however like most of them, feeding does help to keep them happy and enhance color and growth.
