Wild Cherry Favia Coral
The Wild Cherry Favia Coral is Our Number One Pick for the Beginning Reefer
These are often referred to as brain coral because of their large and bulbous shape. They are a type of LPS (large polyp stony coral) and are usually referred to beginning aquarist because they are very hardy and easy to care for. They are aggressive with their sweeper tentacles and generally prefer a bed of sand to keep themselves happy. As they are photosynthetic they do not need to be fed, though added supplementations never hurt. Moderate lighting is also their preference, but just about any clean watered environment will allow them to grow for many years.
